TAM O’SHANTER
The Tam O Shanter Inn was established in 1630 as a coaching inn and because of this it has plenty of character as well as characters within. There are 6 hand-pulls with 4 regular Broughton ales, a couple of other local breweries, guest ales, and a hand-pulled cider. There is also a large selection of whisky to try or rums if you prefer.
It is a traditional pub welcoming to locals and visitors alike. It has no tv or jukebox just folk putting the world to rights at the bar. There is a snug room and backroom as well as a sheltered smoking area outside. There is also a function room upstairs with live folk-music sessions fortnightly with the T.M.S.A. It is a popular pub for dogs with many regulars being towed in the door but please warn us if your dog is on a diet as the biscuits flow as freely as the beer sometimes.
The pub is managed by Craig and Suzy who took over the premises last year and have reintroduced folk-music to the pub as well as a passion for good ales and whiskies.
